I am an Associate Professor at the College of Design and Innovation, Tongji University, Shanghai, China. I am also a faculty member of Intelligent Big Data Visualization Lab (iDVx). My research interest is human-computer interaction approaches to augmenting creativity.
I received my PhD from the School of Computer Science and Engineering at Central South University, where I worked with Professor Yaoxue Zhang (Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering). I was a visiting scholar at Visualization & Interface Design Innovation Lab at University of California, Davis, where I worked with Professor Kwan-Liu Ma. I received my Master and Bachelor degrees from Carnegie Mellon University and Zhejiang University, respectively.
I am currently seeking highly-motivated and hard-working Ph.D students who major in computer science, data science, data journalism, design, or psychology to work with me on exciting HCI and VIS research projects.
